My version:
This is to inform you that as of today, Sunday March 20th 2007, anyone taking sick leave will be required to produce a medical certificate from a certified doctor or medical facility.
Other reasons are subject to management's validation ie. a death in the family.

Without the certificate or validation, the employee will forfeit the days earnings.

These rules will be strictly enforced by management.
Thank you for your cooperation regarding this matter.
