Is there any difference between : as a friend / as your friend
The original message was I wouldn´t mind chatting with you some by email as your friend !
What does the speaker implied saying as your friend? Would that make any difference i meaning if the speaker said as a friend?
in my opinion, the degree of emphasis is different.
"as a friend" may be used for a common friendship
"as your friend",however, emphasizes that "I am your friend, and i have the responsibility to chat"
Hi, thank you so much!! I have another doubt:
I received an email and the writer said : Please give our love to your family. To which I replied saying that their love were given to my family and that my family send their love too.
Now, I got an email from the same person saying: "Please give our love to your folks! hope your dad is doing well and still making his pepper sauce!"
is there any special meaning cause it seems it was more directed to my parents and there is an exclamation mark. And the writer was invited by me to visit. And used the present progressive.
Could I have taken the "our" wrongly and maybe it means my love and his?
thank you.
