What I'd like to convey is the idea of a proud grandad for his daughter having given him two nephews...................
This sentence does not sound correct to me (and I guess I am not wrong) but I don't know how to put it....

Are these his first grandchildren? If so, it is worth adding "for the first time".

yes they are grandchildren and, not, it is not a girl coming ut after twe boys but simply he has become grandad for the first time ever........

His daughter, with the birth of Andrew, had given him the satisfaction of becoming a grandfather

For smoothness you could rephrase it:

With the birth of Andrew, his daughter ...
