Default meaning of a song's title

" No Woman No Cry " means that "if you don't have a woman, there is no reason to cry." Is that correct? Because I thought, as many other people, it would mean that if you're not a woman, then you don't need to cry.

I need your confirmation so that I can be sure of it when I tell my friends that what we'd thought of to be the meaning of the song is misinterpreted.

Thank you very much.

It actually means No, don't cry woman. It is sung to a woman by a man who doesn't want her to cry. Full lyrics here:
