prophetic manner
One of these days,' declared Grandmother in her prophetic manner, `we are going to find Timothy (tiger cub) sitting on Mahmoud's(a cook) bed, and no sign of the cook except his clothes and shoes !'
prophetic = (adj.) saying correctly what will happen in the future.
But why `her' is used in front of `prophetic'?
I guess, it sounds (He used to say in a prophetic manner).
Please help me.

You are on the right track. Her comment is prophetic - she is foretelling what is going to happen. It implies she is in the habit of making these kinds of comment.
