Vietnamese sayings - Ask an English idiom
What do you say in the following (Vietnamese sayings)?
1. People live and take "shape" of the environment in which they live: "Live in a globe and you are round; Live in a pipe and you are long".
2. Any kingdom has a ruler and you must respect him/her: "The land has its land-king, the river has its river-god".
3. Everyone has his/her own opinion, everyone is right: "What the nun says is correct, what the priest says is right".
Thanks a lot!

I've been looking for anything similar in English and have to say so far I haven't managed to find anything in the way of proverbs. There may be idioms that express the ideas and I shall keep on looking!
