Whats the difference bwteen take, took and taking. Any difference?


I watched students take part in the projects
I watched students took part in the projects
I watched students taking part in the projects

Also its "the" needed in front of students

With option 2, you could rephrase this as "I watched as students took part in the projects".

With reference to "the" - your usage will depend on whether you are talking about a specific group of students = "the students" OR an unspecified group of students, in which case you omit "the".
