    a. Do you mind Mary's coming too
    Do you mind his coming too


    b. Do you mind Mary coming too
    Do you mind him coming too



    please explain to me, we should use a. or b. and why??

    They are equal in meaning. As I told you in another thread, a small minority would insist on tha a's in formal writing, but most would accept either form.
