    Dear TDOL,

    1) What I want to know in fact is if the expression "to be scared that" needs a subjuntive mood like "to demand that, to request that, to insist that, to suggest that, to recommend that ..."

    2) Yes I was just going to correct my mistake.
    "that" = subordinating conjunction?
    "But" = coordinating conjunction?

    The expression "be scared" does not take the subjunctive, but it often takes a modal verb.

    I was scared/afraid that he might/would/could....

    That is not a passive verb, but a verb + adjective. It is different from: It was demanded that he leave. :wink:

    I don't use the word "conjunct" for grammar, but I would assume it is one of two things conjoined by a conjunction. :wink:

    I don't use the word "conjunct" for grammar, but I would assume it is one of two things conjoined by a conjunction. :wink:
