Hi, is it natural for me to say that "I am writing you this message in hoping to do sth"? Thanks a lot.
no, not 'in hoping to' but just 'hoping to' or 'with the hope that'.

Thank you very much. Is this the best way to showcase the purpose of a letter at the beginning of the writing? (I am writing you this ... hoping to ...) Or, is there a better way to say it? Thanks.
yes, just about. "I'm writing this letter to you hoping that you will (accomodate my request, for instance). or: hoping to get an early reply from you.
Thanks again. It is very helpful.
