In other words, the "souls" will rejoice round his "golden tent" like lambs skipping round their mother.

it is His home - he is/spreads light, there can be some analogy between light and gold(en). Gold suggets also smth most valuable, perfection. however, there's a huge contrast between His humble abode (a mere tent) and the golden shimmer it has - it is a symbolical picture, a non-verbal image, a trope. Metonymy, I suppose.

What does to round a tent mean? Does it just mean to build a tent up?

You need to look at more than just those few words - this is poetry! Poetry in particular, and literature in general, is not written to communicate. It is written to entertain, and maintaining the grammar is quite low on the list of priorities. Effect, metre, prosody, etc. are more important and if that means distorting the grammar then so be it.

I understand. But I must confess I didn't expect to find a tent in such a poem. All other words are clearly Buble images but what does the tent has to do with those images?
It looks to me like a transposition of Bible images into a modern setting.
