I didn't know advice was uncountable. Are you sure about it? This is what I have found. ad·vice n. 1. Opinion about what could or should be done about a situation or problem; counsel. 2. Information communicated; news. Often used in the plural: advices from an ambassador. I googled the word "advices" and found 5.480.000 results. Maybe the use of the plural is recent, could it explain so many results? Do you have any reference?

My advice to you: Check the reference carefully, don't trust everything you find on the net. Don't go by how many results you get. Here's smth about uncountable nouns, 'advice' being one of them: English Grammar: Uncountable Nouns (EnglishClub.com)

On dictionary.com they mentioned 2 meanings. When Bianca told you about "advice" being uncountable, she was referring to the first meaning (you don't mean to say that in your post you asked for a distant communication/notice :) ). She was completely right.
