In this sentence, I think 'greater magnification' should be in
between makes and possible. But I heard I'm wrong.

In this case, I prefer it with "possible" where it is. It was done to leave "magnification" adjecent to "than" for the purposes of comparison. Senetnces can get confusing if the the camparison strays too far from the original. :wink:
