send mail to ask cover letter (pls check my grammar & wording)
somebody send me his resume for vacancy in my office. unfortunately, he didn't give the cover letter. so i need to email him back to ask for cover letter. and it would be like this (underline). kindly please check my grammar and wording and i'll appreciate it very much.
Is it enough or is it too short. am i need to add anything else?
Dear John
Thanks for your interest in the job Penetration Tester. We’ll review your resume & let you know the next action. Kindly please send your cover letter too.
Best Regards,
Hampeh
Re: send mail to ask cover letter (pls check my grammar & wording)
It's not too short, but:
1) Are you really going to review his resume before he send the cover letter?
2) Do you know him well enough to say "Dear John" instead of "Dear Mr. Smith"?
3) ... interest in the Penetration Tester position.
4) Don't use "Kindly please." One or the other. Please send...
Re: send mail to ask cover letter (pls check my grammar & wording)
Hi,
Thank you for your prompt response. I’m really appreciating it. Here is my answer.
1.
1. 1. Yes, I already review his resume, but he didn’t send the cover letter. I need that because I have to forward it to my superior.
2. 2. Hmm… I’m not sure about this, but I always saw people just reply their mail without put “Mr.” before the recipient name. Even for someone that they didn’t really know.
3. 3. Thanks for the correction
4.4. Thanks too
Ok. Thank you for the correction. I’ll try to avoid it in the future.
