We don't have any problem here. :( But, OK if colloquial. :D => 'any' is plural (e.g. any problems) 3. I am going to check out some compass. :( => 'some' is plural (e.g. some compasses) 4. But exactly how 802.22 devices will share the airwaves with TV(s)remains, well, up in the air. => 'TV' refers to TV technology, whereas TVs refers to TV units. 7. A market expected to grow when WiMAX equipment(s) becomes available next year. => 'equipment' is a noun-count noun. By adding '-s', then speaker is making up a new word. 8. The car can rev at low RPMs. :D => The RPMs are low. 9. The car can rev at low RPM. :( => 'RPM' is a count noun (e.g. an RPM / the RPM) 10. The car can rev at the low RPM. :( => at the lowest RPM 11.
