| Men's suits of armour are stronger than women's. We say a sports bike\car, etc. Most nouns in this position would be singular, but if it is normally used in the plural, like 'sports', then we use the plural. |

| Fast - this is an adjective and they have no plural. Sports- this is a noun functioning as an adjective and, while they normally have no plural, this one does. |
