    What do the expressions "single cream" and "double cream" mean? When do you use it?

    Although we don't use these expressions in Canada (As Wikipedia states, they are BrE), my British friends assure me that the only contexts one might say these (in the U.K.) are when talking about desserts or cooking (recipes etc...)
