Default i'm writing a short story and i need help

hi everybody

I'm writing a short story BUT NEED SOME HELP in some things

i knew that the letter should be capitalized after a full stop and i'm writing the story from The first-person point of view so i use "I" lot
AND i think it should be capitalised in the whole story ..what do you think?

also
what about this sentence :
it is good to know ....bla bla

should i capitalize "i" in "it" so the sentece is ;

It is good to know ....
( even if there is no full stop before it)

what are the conditions where we should capitalize other than these and besides proper names and places ..?

and if any one have any thing that will help me in my writing ,i would appreciate it

thank you in advance

what are the conditions where we should capitalize other than these and besides proper names and places ..? We would need examples of what you think might be capitalized.

After a comma, you do not capitalize unless the word is a proper name.

You require a capital letter after a full stop, question mark, and exclamation mark.
Apart from proper names, you do not need a capital letter after a comma, semi-colon or colon.

Except that your sentence is a comma spice. You have two independent clauses and you cannot properly join them with a comma. You need to end the prior sentence with a period (and in that case, as Angika says, It woud be capitalized), or with a semi-colon (and in that case, as Angika says, it woud be lower case).
