Are Europeans referred to as the overseas people in the US?
Or does this appellative generally refer to whoever doesn't live in the US?

This was discussed in another forum and there wasn't 100% agreement. I think of "overseas" as across the Atlantic or Pacific, so it applies to people other than Europeans.

I would never refer to Canada or Mexico as being overseas. I've never used it to refer to any country in Central or South America either.

Yes, of course. I meant to say whoever doesn't live in the American continent.
