I read about the Functions of the preposition "TO" and one of it says, "TO is use to indicate one that receives an action (e.g. I spoke to the teacher/ give it to me).
Having this sentence, " He was asked to comply with the given statements thrown TO him," does the preposition "TO" functions properly??
‘Thrown to him’ sounds like the ‘given statements’ were actually thrown and hit ‘him’ with ‘him’ being the physical target. "Thrown at him" is an expression that means the ‘given statements’ were ‘passed onto’ or ‘handed to’ ‘him’ to be complied with.
