indirect speech...
hi I have just one quick question...
If I have to put a sentence from direct into indirect speech, what do I replace the word "soon" with?
just like:
He said, "He'll be in trouble soon"
>>
He said that he'd be in trouble ..... [?]
Do I have to replace it just like "last month" >> "the month before" 'n' stuff?
Thanks in advance!!! :D

I see no need to change it- you could use something like 'a bit later' if you like.
Welcome, Vin.

I agree with TDOL. "Soon" is not one of those adverbs that needs to be changed.

"A short time from then" would also work, but I also agree that it's not necessary to change it.
