| I meant by the sentence that `I fell flat after I caught my foot to the stone and lost my balance, grazing my toes'] Is this sentence correct? Please help me. |

| Say: I tripped on a stone and fell.Or: I tripped on a stone and fell down.Or: I tripped on a stone and fell flat on my face.Those are both good. |

| In the US, you'd say you "stubbed your toe." I stubbed my toes on the rock and ended up falling flat on the ground. [not a teacher] |
