clear and funny

Hello,

A movie director is talking about shooting scenes involving nudity.

"You are very clear when you cast in the case of women because men are
even tougher than women. Men are so funny about showing as much as
their belly button"

I don't understand "clear" and "funny" here.

Does he mean when you cast women, you are sure they won't hesitate
taking clothes off? And it's more difficult to convince men to be naked
because they feel very uncomfortable to do that?

You are quite sure = clear

"Funny" in this context = unwilling/resistent

Your interpretation that the directors sees women as willing to do nude work and men as unwilling is correct.
