Default someone's attributes

Someone told that they have good attributes towards football. But I couldn't understand what they meant by the `attributes'.

After looked it up in a dicationry, I thought `attribute' may be a good quality or character.
But still some doubts around me in understanding "someone's good attributes"?

Could you tell what attribute could mean if it refers to a man?

Your dictionary is right. Your friend was misusing the word. His sentence is non-idiomatic English.

No - you can say she has a good aptitude for speaking English.

An attribute is an aspect of character rather than performance.
