I would like to know if you can help me figure out the difference between prejudicial and nonprejudicial rhetoric devices. I am really having a hard time understanding the differences. Thank you.

It seems to me that synecdoche (e.g. "ten sail" instead of "ten ships") might be a "non-prejudicial" rhetorical advice, as it relates to the style of the utterance; whereas a personal attack on the subject of the utterance (e.g. by execration or mockery) might be considered "prejudicial".

But other members may have a better interpretation!
