to do lessons/homework
Hi, when students come home and have a task to do, which is a more frequent expression for their activity: to do lessons or to do homework? Thanks

I think "to do one's homework" is common in Russia, too.

The thing is I have come across "to do lessons" in a good Russian text-book that we are using in our college but which was written long ago and I wonder if I should substitute it with "to do (one's) homework". Now I think it would be quite reasonable :)

I come across many mistakes in Russian textbooks almost every day.I think it's either a typo or a mistake. To do one's homework is correct.
