Cool What is the rule?

Hi,

Could you please tell me the rule to use the word 'the'.

Eg:

I am going to room OR I am going to the room
She is working in Llyods TSB Bank. OR She is working in the Llyods TSB Bank.

I am expecting the correct rule from the experienced/teachers.

Cool Re: What is the rule?

Hi Smith,

Firstly thanks for giving me the link. I have gone thorogh the link and read what is 'Definitive article' but be honest am not able to catch the exact rule for the word 'the'. Is there any other link or way which would help me to come out of this problem?

Thanks,
Mahi.
