Dear Teachers,
I asked the following question last time. And I seemed to understand the explanations. Now I found because I asked a definite choice I neglected the other choices. So I am afraid I have to post the question again.

Of all the areas of learning the most important is the development of attitudes. Emotional reactions as well as logical thought processes affect the behavior of most people.
"The burnt child fears the fire" is one instance; another is the rise of despots like Hitler. Both these examples also point up the fact that attitudes stem from experience. In the one case the experience was direct and impressive; in the other it was indirect and cumulative. The Nazis were indoctrinated largely by the speeches they heard and the books they read.
The classroom teacher in the elementary school is in a strategic position to infuluence attitudes. This is true partly because children acquire atttitudes from those adults whose word they respect.
Another reason, it is true, is that pupils often delve somewhat deeply into a subject in school that has only been touched upon at home or has possibly never occurred to them before. To a child who had previously acquired little knowledge of Mexico, his teacher's method of hangling such a unit would greatly affect his attitude toward Mexicans.

The answer is 'b'. But I think 'a' is the key because it is mentioned in the second paragraph.

I'd like to explain my mistake last time. 'a' is mentioned in Paragraph two. That means it is not mentioned in Paragraph one and four. But since the question limits the contents to Paragraph one and four so I shouldn't take Paragraph two into consideration. Am I right?
Where is the reference for 'c' ? 'c' also used 'how'.
Where is the reference for 'd'? Is it the second sentence in the first paragraph? If it is then does emotional reactions here replace attitude?

About c, hmm, it's an indirect assumption, isn't it? At first glance, I would have said that c. is the odd one out. But, then, again, after having considered the two paragraphs, I'd agree that b. is the odd one out.

But since the question limits the contents to Paragraph one and four so I shouldn't take Paragraph two into consideration. Am I right?

That's correct. Read only paragraphs 1 and 4. Ignore the rest. By the way, a strategy to this kind of test is to read the question first, then read only the 1st and 4th paragraphs.

I understand them the following way:
a. As you said 'poverty' indicates state.
b. As you said it suggests positive meaning. And I think it doesn't suggest a cause-and-result relationship.
c. It suggests obligation instead of attitude.
d. According to your explanation I thingk the expression ' the passion of resentment' indicates emotion which caused the consuming of a man. The man's action is his response to the passion. So what he does shows what he is.
Am I right?

Nothing in this world preoccupies/possesses/destroys a Man more quickly than the passion of resentment (i.e. feelings of indignation (anger at supposed injustices, stemming from ideologies relating to equality). Feelings which make Men feel scared and subsequently apt to ardently fight for what they believe is rightfully theirs.

Feelings which make Men feel scared and subsequently apt to ardently fight for what they believe is rightfully theirs.
