Default sports

Hello,

What is the most common collocation with the word "sport"?

- to go in for sport(s)
- to do sport(s)
- to play sport(s)
- ?

By the way, when do you say "sport" and when "sports"? ;)

Thank you

Default Re: sports

To play a sport; to go in for sport(s).

"Sport" is often used to express sports in general. "To do sport" is not fully accepted (some people like it, others don't).
