Smile crashed on her

One day, Jack met a beauty named Rose. He crashed on her at the first sight. After they understood each other, he decided to date her out.

Do the underlined parts sound right? Should I reword them as "He had a crash on her" and "ask her out/date her" respectively? Thanks.

I am also a student myself. I think you mean -----I had a crush on her. Your sentence---He crashed on her--- seems scary for me. Crash also means to smash, to break violently or noisily.

Yes, good Mary Joe. I wasn't sure what "crashed" meant, but I think you're right.

One day, Jack met a beauty named Rose. He had a crush on her from first sight. After they got to know each other, he decided to ask her out [on a date].

BTW "crashed on her" is something you can often say of computers!

She had just finished her homework, but suddenly the computer crashed on her and wasted two hours' work.
