    Default Advice

    Please advise me the difference between although, despite and however as i know that all of them have same meaning.

    Despite the weather being grim, we continued our trip.
    despite is a preposition

    Although the weather was lousy, we (still) continued our trip.
    although is a conjunction

    We continued our trip; however, the weather was lousy.
    We continued our trip. However, the weather was lousy.
    however is an adverbial
