    Default problem

    I hope these two are correct:

    "I wish Sarah would come." (= I wish it NOW)

    But if i report this, i am telling a story or sth, which of these is correct:

    "I wished Sarah would come." or "I wished Sarah would have come." ??

    As reported speech: "I said that I wished Sarah had come"

    What if the event you wished Sarah would attend has not occured yet, but the wish was in the past? "My party is starting in one hour. I wished Sarah would come, and she still might."
