Dear teachers,
This is killing me..
What exactly is the word between short-term and long-term?
My friend told me midterm, hah!
Please give me some hint...
thanks a million
"long-term": (1)that will last over a long period of time
e.g. a long-term strategy
(2) that is not likely to change or be solved quickly
e.g. long-term unemployment
"short-term": designed only for a short period of time in the future;lasting a short time
e.g. short-term aims/plans
:)
thanks henry :D
I think I didn't make my question clear.
Actually I am looking for a word that's longer than short-term and shorter than long-term![]()
//thinking hard

Yes, your friend is right. There is a "midterm."
"midterm"(1) in the middle of the period that a government, a council, etc. is elected for.
e.g.midterm elections
(2) for or connected with a period of time that is neither long nor short; in the middle of a particular period.
e.g. a midterm solution
(3) in the middle of one of the main periods of the academic year.
e.g. a midterm exam
