Does this sound OK in English
Hi dear experts, could you please tell if the following is comprehensible:
"I can neither agree nor disagree with the above statement. Here is why.
On one hand, children in their youth are learning about themselves and how they relate to others. They are learning to make decisions for themselves, and ways to handle their feelings appropriately. This is the time when parents can help their children by showng them what is acceptable behaviour and what is not. Again parents are supposed to set certain limits in order to protect children from harming themselves or other people. My point is parents can only help. They have little to do with the shaping of the child's character. It is the genes that play the main role in the forming of the personality of people."
