    Default exhibitions throughout the year

    We conducted different educational exhibitions throughout the year.

    Is this sentence correct?

    Moreover, I understood this sentence as, "We conducted educational exhibtions each and every day of the year"

    [Note : I am talking about school]

    Well, superficially, I think the sentence is illogical. Since" each and every day of the year"= "every day of the year", is it possible for one to hold exhibitions every day? (Or possible, if the organiser is rich enough.)
    Throughout means during all of the year.
    Perhaps, you may rephrase the sentence as follows if exhibitions are not run every day of the year:
    We conducted educational exhibtions at the weekends throughout the year.

    Thank you.

    If I replace "throughtout" with "during", will it have the meaning of "we conducted programmes on occasions and not every day". OR Does it stand the same meaning like "throughout".

    If you do something throughout the year that doesn't necessarily mean that you do it every day of the year. What it does mean is that you do it pretty regularly during the year. For example, you might do it once a week during every month. If you only do something every once in a while, say you do it occasionally.

    Thank you Ronbee. Thank you very much.

    Can I replace the "throughout" with "during" to mean the same thing?

    No. They don't mean the same thing.

    Allow me to add my two cents. The following definitions may be helpful for your option:
    "thoughout"
    (1) in all parts of something;
    (2) from the beginning to the end of something.
    "during"
    (1) from the beginning to the end of a period of time;
    (2) at some point or at several points in a period of time.
