    Default get for your birthday

    What did you get for your birthday?

    I know the word "get" has two meanings - (1) receive something; (2) be given something.

    So, I think the sentence means, "What gifts do you receive for your birthday".

    Please help me.

    Yes, though you typed do instead of did.
