Default Using "concerning" the wrong way

Hello,

Lately, I've been concerned by (pun intended) people using "concerning," the following way:

"The new trend of children playing video games for six hours at a time is concerning." I believe that it is okay to say, "The concerning new trend..." Or, "Educators are concerned by..." but not my example. Am I right or wrong?

Thanks!

Chuck Flacks

As far as I'm concerned, it's an acceptable synonym for "worrisome."
