could you please tell me whether it is possible to use the word "assurance" meaning that I am convinced of something?

E.g.: Let me express my assurance of mutual effort to achieve that goal.

Or is it better to say "my conviction"?

It is not a good phrasing. Alternatives:

Let me confirm that we will continue to provide support to achieve our mutual goal.

Please be assured that we will continue to support you in achieving our mutual aim.

Actually, the sentence should say that the person writing it is convinced that both parties do their best to achieve the goal.

Do you not feel that saying something is "mutual" tells you that?

It is a bit difficult to assure someone that they are doing their part. I really can only see reassurance that the writer's people will do their best to work with the other party to their mutual advantage. Not knowing the full context does make it more difficult.
