    Smile Is this correct grammar?

Hi, dear experts. Is this sentence grammatically correct? Does it sound OK in English?
"Only in times of trouble can one tell whether the person considered a friend is really such."

I suppose it is grammatically correct, but whether it sounds OK is another matter. Perhaps:
Only in times of trouble can one tell whether a person considered a friend really is a friend.

Only in times of trouble can one tell whether a person considered a friend truly is a friend.

When you are going through hard times you find out who your friends really are.

The people who stick with you during troubled times are true friends.
