query
Good morning! What idiom do people usually use to mean that, a person listening simply follows without thinking or when a teacher is teaching something, the student simply memorizes without rationalizing what the teacher is talking about. It is also used when we read something, accept it as a fact, without thinking whether it is true or not.
Thanks

Re: query
...a person listening simply follows without thinking [blind obedience] or when a teacher is teaching something, the student simply memorizes without rationalizing what the teacher is talking about[rote memorization]. It is also used when we read something, accept it as a fact, without thinking whether it is true or not [blind acceptance].
These idioms are just the first ones to pop into my head. I'm sure other forum members will have others.
