 Re: "be" verb The verb "be" has many forms, depending on the noun or pronoun preceding it: I am happy. You are happy. (He)(she)(it) is happy. We are happy. You are happy. They are happy. The past tense forms are "was" and "were", and the past participle is "been". It also is used just as "be", as in the examples below: Tomorrow will be a sunny day. I want to be your friend. Do you think the apple crop will be good this year? That's a start. Feel free to ask more questions. |
