As far as I am aware given specific circumstances any of the prepositions you use can be correct except for make money OF it.
You can make money on a horse i.e. by selling it with the presumtion that you have made a profit - that is you bought it for less than you sold it.
You can make money through selling a horse although there is no presumtion necessarily that you bought it for less than you sold it for (however, you might have done)
You can make money by selling a horse
You can make money from horse trading |
