Is this "tricky it is" fine? I think I have read a lot of similar structures though am not that sure they were indeed similar to this one.

I don't see anything wrong with it at all, Nyggus. With this word order, it emphasizes; it says,

"Sure. It sure is [damn] tricky, isn't it? Take your time."

Yes, this is fine English if you're Jedi Master Yoda. If you want to sound like a native English speaker, avoid these types of constructions. Otherwise, a foreigner you will sound like.

It does make you sound like Yoda - I was about to say that when I realized I wasn't the first to express that thought.
Inverting the standard word order of "It is tricky" emphasizes the words. Think of it as the semantic equivalent of "It sure is very tricky."
