Tricky it is.
"Well, I need to mull this over. Give me a couple of days and I'll call you back."
"Sure. Tricky it is. Take your time."
Is this "tricky it is" fine? I think I have read a lot of similar structures though am not that sure they were indeed similar to this one.

In this context it is fine. It is one of those colloquial uses that you have to accept.

It seems you're not happy to see this structure, are you? You think in writing it is unacceptable unless the writing is strongly informal?
Thanks,

I don't see anything wrong with it at all, Nyggus. With this word order, it emphasizes; it says,
"Sure. It sure is [damn] tricky, isn't it? Take your time."

Re: Tricky it is.
Yes, this is fine English if you're Jedi Master Yoda. If you want to sound like a native English speaker, avoid these types of constructions. Otherwise, a foreigner you will sound like.

Re: Tricky it is.
It does make you sound like Yoda - I was about to say that when I realized I wasn't the first to express that thought.
Inverting the standard word order of "It is tricky" emphasizes the words. Think of it as the semantic equivalent of "It sure is very tricky."
Confusing it sometimes is!

I've always wanted to sound like Yoda!
Thanks to you, guys, at last I do: happy I am!

Re: Tricky it is.
LOL - Well, just don't talk that way all the time, or silly you will sound!

Re: Tricky it is.
Silly I will sound as silly I am. Difficult to understand for me it has always been that sounding silly may silly being mean.
