Smile Vegetarian Metaphor

Hello

I need to come up with a 'vegetarian' metaphor for my class but i am not sure what to do. Would the following be a metaphor:

meat is dead
eating meat, is eating your friends

Please help! Any ideas would be great....i just ANY vegetarian metaphor...but im not sure if having 'is' in the metaphor is correct or not.

Oh, you are my sweet little strawberry!

sorry, strawberry isn't a vegetable:

He is an ugly, cauliflower-headed little bastard!

My advice would be to avoid doing it by denigrating meat, but rather to do it by promoting the good qualities of other foods.

Eat broccoli, stay alive
Eat pulses for a good pulse
Eat red and green and stay clean.
