Dear Teachers,
I need your help.
Please tell me the rules of using the verbs: to sit, to stand and stay when we refer to a particular position, condition or state.
Thank you for paying attention to me.
Yours sincerely

When a person sits he keeps his torso upright and his legs underneath him (more or less). Is that what you had in mind?
