Default analysis of a structure

dear teacher,


What tense/structure is this?what is the language function?
The Prime Minister flies tomorrow.
If I'd been earlier,I could have saved him.

Please help me with my homework .

1. flies - present tense simple; here present tense is used with a future meaning [ the future meaning is given by the adverb of time tomorrow].
2. If clause type III

had been - past perfect simple
could have saved - future in the past perfect

The second sentence would sound better if you changed the first verb [it`s only an opinion]:
If I had arrived earlier, I could have saved him.
