| . I have a problem about relative pronoun. It seems to me that articles and a relative pronoun in the first sentence is incorrect, because "the growth hormones that..." implies some kinds of growth hormones stimulate bone formation and others not. So I try rewriting( the second sentence). Is the second right? 1. Weightlessness in Space cuts off the growth hormones that usually stimulate bone formation to balance the bone decomposition. 2. | The meaning as you have said is different, so it is more a question of science than languae. If some growth hormones do not affect bone formation, then the first is right. If they all do, then yours is. |
