| For the first one, I've heard "He's drunk from the Kool-Aid." It's black humor, referring to members of a cult who all killed themselves out of loyalty to their leader by drinking poisoned Kool-Aid. With the passing of time, it's not quite so grim anymore, and can be said quite casually. I don't have one that fits the second expression. |
