Complete the following sentences with a word formed from the one in Capitals shown below:

COMMUNICATE
TROUBLE
IRRITATE
PERMIT
PRISON
DEPEND
PERSON
REPLACEMENT
APPLY
LUCK


1) There was no ........... with the areas of the country hit by the earthquake.
My Answer: Communication

2) The two prisoners were the most ........ of the lot.
My Answer: Troubling

3) Tim had the very .......... habit of biting his nails.
My Answer: Irritating

4) Compared to thirty years ago, today's society is very ..........
My Answer: Permessive

5) After ten years on the run, he was arrested and ..........

These need more work:

My Answer: Permessive

My Answer: Depending

Yes, those three are wrong.

Correction

Thank you a lot, not alot. A lot is two words, not one. You can put a whole 'nother word inside; e.g., thank you a whole lot.

3 - correct
4 permissive
5 imprisoned
6 dependable
7,8 - correct
9 applying
10 correct

Hi Casiopea

I`d choose troublesome for the second sentence. In my opinion there should be "imprisoned" instead of "imprison". I am not sure if my answer for the ninth sentence is correct. Should I use applying or application? I think that applying is correct. Am I wrong?
