It seems that the description of how the veal is marinated makes the listener's nose run. It's very odd

If you are drinking milk and someone makes you laugh the milk might come out of your nose. Does that seem about right (considering the context)?

It's quite right. The person was eating cereals (with milk, obviously)... So, would it means literaly : the milk was sended from the nose or something like "laugh"?
